How do I collect a blood sample?

You collect a blood sample with a home blood collection device. As opposed to venipuncture or a finger prick, taking a blood sample with a home collection device is virtually painless, can be done by anyone, and the entire sampling takes less than 10 minutes. The device uses microneedles to puncture your skin and collect capillary blood.

You’ll receive a home blood collection device in your blood test kit together with detailed instructions for its use. Take a sample before your first meal in the morning by carefully following the instructions.
