Ljubljana, 7 October 2025 – On 2 September 2025, the District Court in Ljubljana, acting on a statement by the Specialised State Prosecutor’s Office dated 1 September 2025, issued an order terminating the investigation into the supply of ventilators delivered during the COVID-19 pandemic by the subsidiary GenePlanet Diagnostika d.o.o.
The Prosecutor’s Office cited Article 181(1), point 4 of the Criminal Procedure Act (ZKP): there is no evidence that a criminal offense was committed. The decision is substantive in nature and is not based on statute-of-limitations grounds, exclusion of evidence, or any other procedural reasons.
In its reasoning, the Court emphasised that the ventilators were adequate and used in healthcare institutions, and that the Slovenian Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (JAZMP) found no irregularities during its inspection. With this, the proceedings are finally concluded.
The ventilators operated and were used in the treatment of patients. Supervisory authorities found no violations. The Court’s decision rests solely on a substantive assessment of the facts—without procedural shortcuts or limitation.
